Hot set tape is used to mark areas that need to stay exactly as they are for continuity. Whether it’s a perfectly positioned coffee mug or a plant that’s just slightly leaning to the right. It’s the art department’s way of saying, “This set is locked! Camera’s coming back!” So if you see that tape, admire the scene... just don’t move anything!
